White Pagoda in Beihai Park


Beihai Park is one of the oldest parks in Beijing. The park is located at the north of Forbidden Palace. This park was built in the Yuan Dynasty, 13th century, with an 70 hectares area. The Emperor of Yuan Dynasty choose this place to build a park, because of its beautiful view and cool weather.

The park was built near the river. The rivers are flowing around the park. In the front garden there is a bridge over the river, which is part of the river that surrounds the park. The emperor was generally Buddhist, which is based from Tibet.

The park officially become a tourist attraction in 1925 by the local government. The park began to open in the morning, the entry ticket is 10 Yuan. Lots of tourist photographing the garden landscape, ranging from the temples, pagodas, bridges, relief, and ornaments that are in each building. The Nice scenery in this park is during the winter, because there is fog that blanketed the buildings so that the buildings are faintly visible.



Summer Palace


Located about 15 km from downtown Beijing, precisely in Yiheyuan Road, Haidian District. The palace was built during the Jin Dynasty, and later renovated in 1860 because it was damaged during the war.

In addition protected by the Beijing government, the palace is also included in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998. The palace was built near an artificial lake covering 300 acres. Uniquely, this palace was built near the hills, so that the position of lakes, castles, and hills looks straight. Jingshan Park


Jingshan Park  is a beautiful garden, which is in Beijing. The park is located on the north of Beihai Park. The park has an 58 acres area, with beautiful views such as trees, ornamental plants, and rolling hills that make this park feels cool. The park was built in 1180 during the Jin Dynasty. This also located not far from the Forbidden Palace. Uniquely, this park is built on a 46 m high hill, does not seem high, but when viewed closely, then this seems very high hill. Strange sight. Tiantan Park


This park was built in 1420, and is often used by the Emperor of the Ming and Qing dynasties to worship. They generally pray for a good harvest. Tiantan Park, is one of the world heritage site, this park is nicknamed The Temple of Heaven, because this park is a place for worship by the local chinese community.

There is a dragon decoration on the walls of buildings, pillars, and the roof of the building, which is a Chinese typical symbol. The architectural style of this building is very beautiful, every corner of the building is made with detail and carefully. This temple also have a terrace that made from stone that had been laid out very neatly, and is lined with carved stone fence.



Forbidden City (Forbidden Palace)


If you Travelling to Beijing, this one historic place is a place that you must visit, called the Forbidden City. In this place, there are two very famous of China dynasties, the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Both are the greatest dynasties that was dominate China in the past.

The palace is colored in brownish yellow, with a distinctive shape chinese architect at that time. The palace was built on 170 acres area, and is surrounded by walls as high as 9 feet. Inside the palace there are 9900 rooms. Amazing.

The palace was used as a center government of Ming dynasty at the past. Inside there is also a wall ornament, paintings palace officials, unique ceramics, places for worship, statues,bronze tools, mirror for princesses, a luxurious king bed, and others. This palace is frequently visited by tourists, although it is no longer used as of center government, but this ancient building has become a world heritage site, and is recognized by UNESCO in 1987.



Shichahai Lake


The lake is located in the center of Beijing, not far from the Forbidden City. This lake has 363 acres area, is one of the largest lakes in China. It is a natural lake, with views of the surrounding hills. This lake first used by the Jin Dynasty, until the Ming Dynasty. They make use to meet their daily needs, such as fishing, raising fish, a place to relax, and others. Since the Ming Dynasty era, the lake was turned into a tourist area, planted with trees, flowers, and embellished with the layout of the building located around the lake. And until now, Shichahai Lake has been renovated several times by the local government.

Besides being used as a commercial area, around the lake is often used by the community for sports arenas such as cycling, walking, playing ball, and others. Many elderly people exercise in this place than children. Every morning and evening there are many elderly people who walk in the area surrounding the lake. Xiangshan Park


Xiangshan Park (Fragrant Hills Park) located about 28 km from Beijing. This park is a heritage from  the ruling emperor in Beijing at the past. This park is one of the 10 bigest park in China, with 988 acres, equal 400 hectare area. Built in the Jin Dynasty, and continued renovations until the Ming dynasty. The emperor at the time was given name Jing Yi, which means the garden of happiness.

The Bund


The Bund is a relaxing place, located near the Huangpu River, which divides Shanghai. The Bund is one of the famous tourist destinations in Shanghai that offers beautiful panoramic. Bund name is taken from the Hindi word which means the levee, reservoir or dock. Naming Bund often found in various countries, such as India, China and Japan (Yokohama Bund). However, the name has been taken to Shanghai by Victor Sassoon and family.

For transportation, there is a location near the train station in Nanjing East Road, and the main bus stop in East-1 Zhongshan Road.



Shanghai Ocean Aquarium


It is an aquarium which is placed under the ground. There are 4 floors under the ground, with a lift we'll come down and look at all kinds of animals waters, from crocodiles, geese, and various types of fish.

There is also something unique, like watching fish began to spawn, until adulthood, but all life, not a demo, and also other types of animal water.



Jade Buddha Temple


Buddhist temple in Shanghai was created as a place of worship for the Buddhist Mahayana. Jade Temple was built in 1882.

Inside there are two jade Buddha statues imported from Burma and sitting Buddha statue with 3 tons weight and 1.95 meters height, and also other Buddha statue donated by Singapore.



Yuyuan Garden


Yuyuan or Yu Garden is one of the best theme parks in China, located in Anren Street 132, Old Town, or next Chenghuangmiao. Some Suzhou-style designs are clearly visible at this garden. This garden has 2 hectares area, starting from Grand Rockery area, heralding Spring Hall (Dianchun), Inner Garden, Jade Magnificence Hall (Yuhua), Lotus Pool until the Ten Thousand-Flower Tower (Wanhua).

Yuyuan Garden can be accessed from the Shanghai Metro station located near the park.



Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower


This tower is Shanghai landmark. Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower is located at the edge of Lujiazui in the Pudong district, on the banks of Huangpu River, opposite The Bund. It was designed by Jiang Huan Cheng from Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co. Ltd. Construction built in 1990 and was completed in 1994.

With 468 m height (1,535 feet), "Oriental Pearl TV Tower" is the tallest structure in China from 1994 to 2007, when it was defeated by the Shanghai World Financial Center. On 7 July 2007. The tower visited by more than three million tourists every year.



Shanghai Xin Tian Di


If you want to shop and enjoy a variety of entertainment in Shanghai, you can come to shopping and entertainment area in Xin Tian Di. Xin Tian Di is one of China's most important entertainment district built by Shui On Land  which consists from ancient China building named shikumen.



Nanjing Road


Nanjing Road or Nanjing Lu is the main shopping district in Shanghai, which is also one of the busiest streets in the world. The area is divided in two streets, East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road.

The tourists usually celebrate major holidays, such as Chinese New Year, New Year's Eve, Christmas and Easter at Nanjing Road.

The Venetian Resort


Macau is known as tha Asia's largest gambling city. Venetian Resort in Taipa, Macau is a sister casino resort with The Venetian at Las Vegas USA. Built by US tycoon, Sheldon Adelson, this resort is the largest single hotel building in Asia and the sixth largest in the world with the widest and biggest casino Worldwide. Luxury-class facilities at the Venetian Resort is able to accommodate 10,000 guests at a time.

The Venetian Resort was completed in July 2007 and officially opened on August 28. The hotel has 30 floors, with 6300 suite room, which 95 square meters each room. The hotel has 108 meeting rooms, size can be changed depending on the capacity of the participants. Business and convention center lobby is very spacious and can accommodate more than 5,000 people with a group meeting and arranged beautifully.

Talk about shopping, Venetian Resort will make you breathless. Come to the second floor, which is the shopping center. There are at least three shopping areas that you can explore, first is the Grand Canal, the Four Seasons and the Cotai Central. On the Grand Canal there are more than 350 international brands have opened their outlets here. While shopping at the Four Seasons you'll be treated to 160 brands of famous designers such as Audemers Piguet, Bottega Veneta, Cartier, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.



Lilau Square


Macau being a Portuguese colony for more than 500 years. Portuguese-style buildings are very strong visible in Macau. Besides Lilau Square, you can also see the Portuguese heritage through traditional foods such as Macau-Portuguese Egg Tart and street names are still using the Portuguese name rather than Chinese language name. The name "Lilau" means "mountain spring" in Portuguese.

This area is the first Portuguese residential  in Macau. The atmosphere was filled with Mediterranean style building, art deco-style building that greatly contrasts with the Mandarin's House, which is not far from Lilau Square.

Here you will see a typical of Mediterranean buildings, visible from wall elements made with a rough texture and natural impressed. In colors, lots of Mediterranean style using a combination of solid colors, but it looks natural.

Lilau Square is part of the Historic Centre in Macau which is recognized by UNESCO since 2005. This place can be accessed through Calcada da Barra when you're visiting at A-Ma Temple and Macau Maritime Museum.



Macau Tower


This is the Landmark of Macau. The tower was designed by Gordon Moller, an architect from New Zealand. This tower offers an incredible tourist attraction. You can see the panorama of the Pearl River Delta, Macau Peninsula and Taipa Coloane islands from the highest point of this tower, which is at level 61, on the 223 meters height or about 732 feet.

This place is often referred as the observation deck because it allows you to look into the various sides of Macau. Not only that, at level 58, often referred to as the observation lounge you can see the sunrise and sunset and also Macau city at night.

Macau Tower still has much entertainment at the next levels. There are cafes and restaurants on floors 59 and 60. This cafe rotates 360 degrees, allowing you to look around Macau while enjoying light meals and snacks like sea food a la Portuguese and India, as well as Italian spagetti.



Hac Sac Beach


Hac Sac Beach is a crescent-shaped beach, which is very popular in Macau. The beach is much preferred by tourists, not because of its white sand, but just because the dazzling black sand. If you love the sun, sand and sea then Hac Sa Beach is a great place to visit.

Hac Sa is approximately 4 km in length. Hac Sac it means "black sand". According its name, as long as you down to the beach, it is visible is a beautiful black sand.

Its not only foreign tourists who like come to this beach, the locals often make Hac Sac Beach as a vacation. You can rent a jet ski and play as much on this beach. In addition, there are some other facilities that can be enjoyed such as mini golf, tennis and badminton courts. Ha Sac Beach is the largest natural beach in Macau.



Kun Iam Temple


Kun Iam built in the Ming Dynasty in 1368-1644. With the Buddhist architecture style, Kun Iam Temple consists of several buildings, the main temple, the hall that used as a place for pray, courtyard and pavilion. This Buddhist temple is a building dedicated to the Precious Buddha, the Longevity Buddha and Kun Iam wearing a silk dress and a crown that rechanged every year.

In the main temple, Kun Iam accompanied by 18 Buddhist altar on either side. In the next room there is a funeral chapel and rolls of paper, which is used to honor the Kun Iam. At the back of this temple there is a garden terrace.

Lin Fung Miu, or often called as the Lotus temple, built in 1952. This temple has a front appearance created from clay carved in the 19th century, which displays history and myth figures. Stone lions guard at the front entrance gate. Inside there is a room with a statue of Tin Hau on the altar, accompanied with the guardian statue.



A-Ma Temple


This temple was built in 1488 in the Ming Dynasty's era (1368-1644), this is the oldest temple, and the place where the Portuguese first landed in Macau.

A-Ma Temple was built to commemorate Matsu, the goddess of seafarers and fishermen. According to the legend "A-Ma" comes from the name of a poor girl who wants to go to Canton, but not allowed to join a wealthy merchant ship. Then a poor fisherman let go. Then, a storm hit and destroyed all the ships at sea unless the ship that carrying the poor girl. On arrival in Macau she vanished and re-appeared as a goddess in the spot where the fishermen built her temple.

Besides the beauty of its architecture, every Chinese New Year, the place is visited by many young people who come together and pray for luck. If you traveling to Macau in April-May, or in the Chinese calendar every year on 23 in 3rd month, do not miss A-Ma Festival that attracts many tourists.



Mandarin’s House


The old town is always interesting. Here we can see the past history and picture of life at that time. In Macau, we can see this in the Mandarin's House which is a housing complex.

These buildings has been influenced by western style and Chinese style combined with its decorative motifs. The buildings were also marked a shifting culture in Macau, where the Chinese architecture featuring a mix of different styles and cultures. It is more visible at the beginning of 20th century, the Art Deco style that became common style of construction in some places, such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canton and of course Macau.

Mandarin's House is located near the Patio do Lilau, Travessa de Antonia da Silva. This place is the biggest complex of the China ancestors in Macau, which is still maintained. To maintain these ancient sites, the government had done renovations in 2001 and completed in 2007.



Casa Garden


Built in 1799, Casa Garden is the area that has old Protestant cemetery, which is also a tourist destination. Originally this park is the residence of a wealthy Portuguese merchant Manuel Pereira. Then leased to the East India Company to be their corporate headquarters in Macau as well as housing and senior officials of the company. East India Company is a british trading company that sells a textile products such as cotton and silk. In addition they also traded salt, tea and opium.

Right in the house, there are granite steps that will lead you into the house through the main entrance. The first impression that you can feel when you first enter the main hall is the architectural style that dominated Southern Europe style. Southern or European style is more commonly referred to as the Mediterranean style, usually have a characteristic that luxurious and warmth. Warm and comfortable impression is displayed by the application of warm colors such as beige, brown and terracotta.

Casa Garden area contains the old homes, old Protestant cemetery and an art gallery are open daily Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 6 pm. The park is located at Praca de Luis de Camoes or East Camoes Grotto and Garden.



The Cathedral


Each building always has a story and history. Similarly, with the Cathedral since it was first built in 1576 has many stories including almost destroyed by hurricane hit in 1874.

If you step out of the church, you can relax for a moment in the fountain, which was built during the renovation cathedral in 1937. In addition, next to the cathedral there is the beautiful Bishop's Palace. Some stories say that the Bishop Palace was built before 1835 or in the 15th year of the reign of Emperor Dao Guang from Qing Dynasty.

Bishop's Palace has a large collection of documents, artifacts, and other important objects, which are associated with the religious history of Macau. This palace is part of the highest Catholic authority in Macau.



St Joseph Church


St Joseph Church built for 12 years, between 1746 to 1758. This church is an important legacy and testimony for the history of missionaries in Macau. This church is part of St.Joseph Jesuit seminary. It is a beautiful church, which is a favorite attraction of tourists and artists.

Located on a hill, called Mato Mofino St.Lawrence area, St.Joseph Church is located near St. Lawrence Church (also known as the Feng Shun Tang).

On the main altar there are two statues of the most famous Jesuit leaders, St. Ignatius de Loyola and St. Francis Xavier. The altar is decorated with charming spiral ornaments. Besides the main altar are two companion altar. In this church also saved a bone fragments hand of St. Francis Xavier. This pieces of bone is one of the religious relics and a respected and valuable objects were originally belong to Mater Dei church.

Da Meisha and Xiao Meisha Beach


Da Meisha and Xiao Meisha are two beaches located in Yiantian District, Shenzhen. Both of these beaches offer beautiful sea views. You can relax or enjoy here while sunbathing on the beach. Xiao Meisha is a name derived from Oriental Hawaii. This name was given because Xiao Meisha surrounded by green mountains, with one side of the mountain overlooking the sea.

Da Meisha is the longest beach in Shenzhen with 1.8 kilometers long. This beach is much like Xiao Meisha, only much wider. This beach is also one of the most frequently visited by tourists throughout the year. In the mountains that surround this beach there are historical relic sites, mostly from Shang Dynasty such as pots, jars, knives, and others.



Mount Wutong


Located in Dawang Village, Shawan, Luohu District. The uniqueness of several mountains in China it is not very high, including Mt Wutong. But the appearance seems high, because Shenzhen is located on the flat land, so that the mountain has a height of 944 meters above ground level looks so high.

Mount Wutong offers a beautiful view of pine trees along this mountain road. From the top of mountain, you can see the view of Shenzhen city, also Hong Kong city. To climb this mountain is not difficult, because there are leading steps to the peak.

Xichong Beach


Xichong Beach is a beautiful beach, located in Longgang District, Shenzhen. This beach is becoming known by public because its a great place to surf.

The beach is one of Ten most beautiful places in China from National Geographic version. It is not as crowded beach like Da Meisha, or Xiao Meisha, but so many tourists visit this beach for surfing, sunbathing, and vacation or see the sunset.

Xichong beach surrounded by green hills with shady trees. No wonder if you still feel cool even on the beach. Xichong is one of the largest beach in Shenzhen.



Nanao Bay


One good place to relax when you're on vacation to China is Nanao Bay. Nanao Bay is located in Shenzhen, in Dapeng peninsula. This place has a million charm that can amaze anyone who see it. Nanao bay surrounded by green hills. The bay is also facing Pingzhou Island, which is located in Hong Kong, about 1.5 miles from the bay.

Walking around the Nanao Bay is a great way to relax that you should try. In addition to refresh your mind, you can also enjoy the culinary seafood dish at the restaurant around Nanao Bay.



Dapeng Fortress


Dapeng Fortress is a fortress complex as defense from Japanese pirate attacks. Built in 1394 by the Emperor of Ming Dynasty, this building has 110,000 square meters. In the Opium Wars, this place has a very important role as a place for defense and  strategize against Japanese and British.

Dapeng Fortress is located in the village of Pengcheng, Dapeng Town, Longgang District. This place can be reached within an hour from downtown Shenzhen. This place is a historic site that is protected by government. Government also built  Dapeng Fortress Museum at this place.



Senzhen Museum


Located in downtown Shenzhen, make it easier to access transportation to the museum. This museum has an 37,000 square meters area and about 18,000 square meters building. Different with the Art Museum that collecting objects from modern art, this museum is collecting a lot of historical objects such as sculptures and calligraphy, as well as the accompanying chronology.

One of interest room is the exhibition hall with an 1300 square meters area. Located on the second floor. The exhibition room contains many pictures and photographs on the history of independence in China.



China Folk Culture Village


It is one of the cultural park in China, here are the typical Chinese buildings and small gardens and their culture, such as Green Lake, Wind Rain Bridge, Waterfall Sliding Cable, Yao Village, Drum Tower, Lamasery, Quadrangle Gallery, Impression of China and others. The buildings and gardens were created to promote China, especially Shenzhen city as a tourist spot. Splendid China is one of the favorite places for tourists who are traveling to Shenzhen. This place is a park, inside there are miniature of China. This miniatures are magnificent buildings that are located in China with a very similar details to the original building, that has 1:15 in scale.

Besides the buildings, there are also a variety cultures in China, which complements to these magnificent buildings.

Some miniature and icons from the famous buildings in China is Great Wall miniature. Made with bricks brought directly from Beijing, similar to bricks to create the original Great Wall. Minks World Military Park


This place was formerly used for basis to Russian airforce during the war. After end of war, the runway is abandoned and looks worn. A few years later, the local government renovate this area into a tourist attraction. Different with  Window of the World or Happy Valley, this park is a military theme park that is very  awesome.

Minks Wold is the first military theme park in Asia. At the first opened as a tourist attraction in 2000, this park was immediately crowded by visitors. More than five million people visit this park every year.



Dafen Village


You will see a unique view in Dafen Village, Shenzhen. Dafen village is a village that has a high artistic creativity. This village is the home of many painters. When you walk around in this village, you will be surprised by the view from all paintings that display along the way. Since 1989, this place became the largest oil painting gallery in Shenzhen and China, with more than 700 art galleries that exist in this village.

Almost every house in the village of Dafen became an art gallery, especially painting with oil paint. The reliable painters ranging from children to adults here. If you are an artist, this place you must visit during your visit to China. The paintings are on display at every corner of the house have a different theme. Tourists who come to this place are also allowed to buy the paintings produced by the local residents.



Happy Valley


Happy valley is one of the icon park  in Shenzhen. In different with Splendid China, this park has unique areas. This park has an 86 acres area, with green grass and shady trees that adorn the park. The park is designed with nine different type areas. Each area has its own theme, there Sunshine Beach, Gold Mine Town, Happy Times, Cartoon City, Spanish Square, Paya Maya Water Park, Shangri-la Woods, Mt. Adventure, and Typhoon Bay.

There are also a wide variety of exciting games and rides for children and adults. You can also enjoy the attractions and performances are held daily to entertain you. Featured attractions include typical dances from China, magic show, and circus.

Happy Valley is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Happy Valley is not only in Shenzhen, but there are also in Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu. You must visit this place to complete your China tour.
