1. Petronas Twin Tower, Kuala Lumpur


The twin towers with 452 meters height, with 88 floors per tower, this is the world's tallest twin buildings. The tower is located in downtown Kuala Lumpur, so it is easily reached by all types of public transport.

Tourists are allowed to go up to the tower and tickets were given away free. For that you have to go early in the morning once in order not to run out of tickets because of the limited number of tickets are available.

If you are lucky to get a ticket to ride to the twin towers, prepare your camera to aim an awful lot of good spots to take pictures. You will be taken to the floor 42 tower where there is a bridge linking both towers.

2. St Paul Hill (A'Famosa), Melaka


Portuguese colonized Melaka from 1511 until 1641. The first thing they did was build a fort near the river called A'Famosa.

A'Famosa fort is very important for the Portuguese to perpetuate their power in the Far East when it since Melaka was the center of the struggle between great powers and are often threatened with attack.

This is one of the buildings in the style / architecture of Europe, the oldest in Southeast Asia. Portuguese first arrived at the city's very first thing they built was this fort, with the aim of observing the river if there was an attack from the enemy through the river. 5. Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Buddhist Temple, Penang

6. Pulau Payar Marine Park, Penang

Travel by ferry to Pulau Payar, the only Marine Park off the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The park is made up of four un-inhabited islands and the crystal clear water is home to a multitude of colorful fish and large species of corals. 7. Siti Khadijah market, Kelantan

Siti Khadijah market named by first wife of the Moslem Prophet Muhammad who is an expert on Commerce. The name is appropriate to a market where traders therein consisted mostly of women.

8. Krau Wildlife Reserve Adventure, Pahang


Krau Wildlife Reserve is a nature reserve which looks very beautiful and seductive eyes of all visitors. This region has a 150,000 acres total area. Historically, the Krau Wildlife Reserve has been around since the days of British colonial rule and is still maintained until now. Kuala Lumpur Tower


Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) has a 421 meters high which is the fourth tallest communication tower in the world and one of the landmarks of Kuala Lumpur. You can take a high-speed elevator in the tower and stopped on the observation bridge at 335 meters high to see the beautiful scenery of Kuala Lumpur.

KL Tower is located rather far away from downtown Kuala Lumpur. If you don’t like walking in the hot tropical weather, you can take a taxi to come here. In this place often held a traditional and contemporary music concert. Make sure you are connected to Tower information center to find out about current events before you go there.


Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia


The museum has an 30.000 square meters area, located in Tasik Perdana Park, Kuala Lumpur. The museum has a collection of more than seven thousand artifacts and a library that has a large number of books related to Islamic art. Artifacts on display include some beautiful jewelry pieces, to one of the largest model of the Grand Mosque Masjidil Haram. The museum was built to introduce a collection of Islamic art, which truly represent the entire Muslim world.

You can walk or use taxis to come to this location. IAMM located between Tasik Perdana Park and State Mosque. You are advised to check the IAMM website to know the typical exhibition events that may be held when you visit there.


National Museum


National Museum provides information about the culture, heritage and history of Malaysia. National Museum that now exists, is actually a former Selangor Museum was built in 1898. After the country's independence from Britain on August 31, 1957, the royal union has built a new museum in the former building.

National Museum was inaugurated by the king of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Putra III Al-Haj Ibni late Syed Hassan Jamalullail on August 31, 1963.

The museum is located in Damansara street, making the State Museum is easily recognizable. You can come here by bus or taxi. The location is also close to KL Sentral.


Jamek Mosque


This historic mosque was built in 1909, and is the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The mosque is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, where the origin of Kuala Lumpur. This mosque was inspired by the art of mogul building, from northern India, and the building was officially opened in 1965 as the State Mosque. Now, even though there is a new national mosque, Jamek mosque still an important mosque due to its strategic location in the downtown of Kuala Lumpur.

Located near the department store, food centers and business area makes this place always crowded. If entering to the mosque, make sure you dress modestly because this building is a worship place.

If you want go to this place, you can use the LRT train Putra. You can ride the LRT and stop at the Masjid Jamek station. The mosque is located near this station.


National Palace


National Palace was originally the residence of a Chinese trade expert, Chan Wing was built in 1928. During the Japanese occupation of Malaya in 1942 - 1945, Japan took over the residence and replace it into the official residence of the Japanese and Japanese officials. After the end of World War II, the royal residence of State Selangor change this and make it the official residence of Sultan of Selangor.

After the independence in 1957, the government changed this residence became the official residence for  Yang Di-Pertuan Agong. The National Palace is surrounded by a high fence, but you can still see the palace and gardens. National Palace is not open for public, therefore, the main door is often used as a place for visitors to take pictures.

If you want to go to this place, from Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, you can take a taxi to the Palace. This is the most appropriate transport to the location.


National Theatre


One of the most 10 sophisticated stage theaters in the world and became the first theater in Asia equipped with most modern stage equipment, same as the world's leading theater - the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Inside this building is made using Langkawi marble and tropical wood, carved with flower motifs and leaves. National Theatre located at Tun Razak Street. You can visit this place by taxi.


Petronas Gallery


Petronas Gallery is a modern and contemporary art gallery, located at Level 3, Suria KLCC, which aims to buy and sell works of art in Malaysia. This place is located on Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.

This gallery is an art institution founded in 1993 by Petronas, the national oil union to assist the arts development in Malaysia. Petronas Gallery provides an exhibition space for contemporary Malaysian artists to display their artworks. Various exhibits by local artists and among nations is often held in the Petronas Gallery.

The place is located in Suria KLCC, to come to the gallery is very easy, using buses, taxis, LRT (get off at the station KLCC) or by train. Entrance is free. Opened: Tuesday - Sunday (10 am - 8 pm). Closed for Monday.

Cheng Ho Museum


The museum was built to commemorate the admiral called Cheng Ho or Zheng He who lived during the Ming Dynasty in China. Famous wanderer has run seven cruises between 1405 and 1433 and left his mark in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. Five of the voyage has taken him through Melaka, a port that has been established by him. This cruise has been recorded in the history of Melaka.

Melaka River


This river is a trade center in Melaka during the Portuguese era. At that time the river was very crowded with merchant ships from around the world. There are many buildings in the era that still stand today. On the banks of the river there are also the old village and modern buildings. The trip down the river takes about 45 minutes, usually there is a tour guide when you are in the boat.

Kampung Hulu Mosque

Just for your information, if you are not a Muslim, you are not permitted to enter the mosque, but you still allowed to take pictures from outside the mosque.


St. John Fort


St. John Fort was built by the Dutch in 18th century, formerly is a Portuguese church that built to commemorate St. John. The fort was possessed unique characteristics, the cannon leads to mainland, because at those days attack to Melaka generally come from the land rather than the sea.

Another attraction of this fort is an interesting sight, especially during sunsets can be seen from top of the hill.

St. John Fort is located outside the city. You can reach by Parameswara street to get out of the city to Ujung Pasir street and then turn left into Bukit Senjuang street.


St. Peter Church


The church was built in 1710 after Dutch restore the freedom to Roman Catholic Church in Melaka. Art building design incorporates features of both East and West. The oldest artifacts in this church is the bell, made in Goa, Indonesia in 1608. The bell has been rescued from an older church, which was burned by the Dutch during their attack in 1641.

Baba Nyonya Museum


Chinese residents that also called Baba Nyonya are Chinese citizens which has been widely applied Malay culture in their lives. It is a process that takes more than 400 years, since the famous wanderer, Admiral Cheng Ho first brought Chinese citizens to settle in Melaka.

This museum is located on Heeren Street near Jonker Street.

Fort Conwallis


Fort Cornwallis Penang is one of the tourist attractions that always visited by tourists. Fort Conwallis name comes from Charles Conwallis who is the Governor-General in Bengal India. Jerejak Island


This island is home for  exotic flora and fauna in Penang. Named Jerejak Island taken from the name of a fishermen who formerly lived in this island. Francis Light, founder of Penang, is believed to had visited this island before he stay and built Penang.

England has built a number of hospitals in the island in the 1930's. There is a grave of a Russian who was killed in World War II when German submarines attacked the Russian navy. Jerejak Island also has a rehabilitation center for prisoners were used from 1969 to 1993. They had rioted and destroyed several buildings here.

In this island there is also a number of wildlife and some endangered species were protected, such as falcon eagles, long-tailed monkey, python snakes, lizards and others.

 

Penang Hill

Kek Lok Si Temple

In 1930 the pagoda at the Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as the Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas, built featuring Thailand and Burma architectural design that meant to indicate acceptance of Mahayana and Theravada.

Dharmikarama Burmese Temple

Telaga Harbour Park


Telaga Harbour Park is a very beautiful Mediterranean garden. Telaga Harbour Park was developed by the Langkawi Development Authority. This area used to be a fishing village that has evolved so quickly into the main tourist attractions in Malaysia.

Telaga Harbour is located at Kok Bay. It takes about 15 minutes from the Langkawi International Airport. Here you can sail and boating to see and enjoy the beauty of Telaga Harbour Park. This area is a large basin with an about 32 hectares area. This area is designed specifically for berthing large and small vessels.


Temurun Waterfall


Temurun Waterfall flowing from about 30 meters height that down the slopes of Mount Mat Cincang, which then fell to the Datai Bay. If you want to see Temurun Waterfall up close, then you have to down a fairly steep slope about 10 minutes walk.

This is the tallest waterfall in Langkawi. It is a seasonal fall, best to be visited in September-October. To reach the fall, you can follow the signs for the Damai Bay resort. The waterfall is visible from the road. You can park your car and then it is only a short walk to the first tier of the fall.

The waterfall consist of a few tiers. The lower ones are small, the main one is quite impressive. Impossible to take a picture of the whole fall.
